Design and Drawing Books
I buy

Cartoon Modern is in my opinion a great book at looking at a range of different cartoon style, along with all the information about them.

Another book i own is this How to Draw and Paint Crazy Cartoon Characters, which gives a range of odd character designs and how to draw them. ( To me its a good book not great but good)

The books that are written and draw by Scott McCloud go into depths on understand and making comics in these two books I own. ( there is a third book but I done not have it) These books are great if you want to get into comic book art. (these are the best books I own)

I'm a BIG fan of Manga / Anime ( the Japanese art of story telling) and own a range of how to draw manga books and to me this is the best. It goes through the history, different style, genres of manga before telling you how to draw. It also just doesn't give you manga related information but how to draw in basics such as the human hand or body, which then builds into showing you how to build it into a manga comic book. ( i.e. Panels)

Vector Graphics and Illustration a good book if you want to learn more about  vectors and some great illustrators work. ( full of information)
